181-200
I think that Take Ten means that the black people should take ten lives of the white people. As it shows in the book,"Black men should take ten white lives for every black life taken by white men." I think that killing is just wrong no matter what they did.

164-180
I think John was very brave for what he did going as a black person to see how we white people treat them. Calling them neggers and treating them like trash because their skin color is different from ours. Well news flash get over it they're people just like us. For example, Rosa Parker won't move from her seat when a white lady wanted it. So she said no and they arrested her and beaten her. She stood up for herself and i take off my hat to her.

I like how John leaves Mansfield where he lives to protect his family. As shown in the book,"When I got home, the suit cases were packed," John left town to keep is kids safe. John came back to face the people of his own race and his friends. They wouldn't says anything to him or wave. They just glared. As shown in the book,"The husband lifted his head from weeding and glared at me when I drove past." I think he is setting a great example for his kids by not running away from his fears. He's standing up for what he believes in.

Blog for 109-121
I like how John compared the blacks to the stars. He even takes lines from "Dreams Variation" by Langston Hughes. In the book it shows,"Night coming tenderly, Black Like Me." It tells about the stars and skies how they have humanity and validity as a human being. I think that John will stay in touch with the people he meets on his quest.

Blog for 95-108
White people in the 1960s treated blacks like they were trash. They would sleep with their woman so they could get a job and feed their families. As it shows in the book, "Not if they want to eat--or feed their kids," says the man giving John a ride. And if they thought some black man was going to start trouble they would jail or kill them. In the book "Black Like Me"says,"We either ship them to the pen or kill them," says the same man. I think that one day the blacks are going to get tired of being treated like trash and just a big war with the whites.

So he tld him that blacks are not different from whites. In the book,"They don't deal with any basic difference in human nature between whites and blacks," he goes in to how theyre not different at all.

Getting Help 53-76
Griffin was standing in line when white walked up; took his hand and shook it. Griffin stayed the night white man's house. In the book it says, "He shook my Negro hand in full view of everyone on the street,"like he didn't care if the police saw him. Mr. East wanted to help the black people in anyway he could. He ask if it is fair to take tax money from Negro and then use it to support an organization. You can find it on page 75 second paragraph.
